Illuminated reflections of Yosemite Valley

An original work from the series "Travelers". We spent a week in Yosemite Valley with our two little kids. The kids wanted my attention all the time for various reasons: it was too hot, too wet, they were hungry, and the sand wasn't right. But at some point, they were occupied playing with my husband, and I was sitting by the riverbank on my own, surrounded by the sounds of nature. I watched the sun's rays dance on the surface of the water, reflecting and shimmering in all directions, and that was a moment of pure joy and harmony.
